An article about Tim Polasek you will like.

Kirk Ferentz always making the right decisions. This just proves it.

I am still wondering how he got talked into taking a demotion from OC to OL coach. Even if he was secretly promised the OC job if Brian gets promoted to HC, you got to figure he could get an OC job right now at a P5 school if he wanted.

But I guess a similar move worked out for Tom Herman, and this guy is still young, and his pay probably went up, so I guess he does not mind taking a little detour to OL coach in his coaching career.

The head coach at NDSU makes 266k base salary. So I'd guess the OC would make 200k max. Polasek makes 325k as the OLine coach at Iowa. That's a pretty big pay bump. I think that's a pretty good reason.

Brian is officially surrounded with guys who know something about offense play-calling. That's no accident. His father is giving him everything he'll need to succeed. If Brian is humble he can tap into their knowledge and show himself worthy of becoming head coach some day.

Now, had this been a picture of Jake Christenson or a game clock...I would have been impressed. I was trying to be sarcastic, but sometimes that doesn't read well.

On this board you never know sarcasm from serious. Let's hope the offense comes a live this upcoming season. I am sick of 7-5 seasons and getting slaughtered in bowl games.
