Amara Darbo

Spoke with someone who knows him very well. He said Amarah is a really good kid with natural athleticism (only been playing football a couple of years) but not an overly diligent worker. He said he will be surprised if Amarah doesn't pick ND or Mich. Also said that he really likes coach Campbell but that the visit didn't do a lot for him. For what it is worth....

There's a reason Iowa has continued to offer more and more WR in this class. I think the feeling around here has been the Darboh is a very longshot for Iowa.

Heard he loved the Michigan visit, wouldn't surprise me if he didn't end up at UM, but they are only taking 1 more WR so he might have to act quickly. If he doesn't go there, sounds like ND is in the drivers seat. I think Iowa is in 3rd as of right now.

If this is true, he probably wouldn't fit the program in Iowa City

If he was leaning toward Iowa do you think that comment would've been typed? Don't be naive. If someone looks elsewhere all of a sudden he isn't good enough for Iowa.

Iowa is up against the big boys with this recruit, and the low-self-esteemers have already decided we're gonna lose so they want to be the first to say, "He isn't a diligent worker" - which is nebulous and of course lacking any substantive proof.

I should clarify that I think he's going to be a good WR. I just don't think he's interested in Iowa, and aparently isn't a big Iowa fan.

Early on we heard he was Iowa's to lose. Well, I don't think the "insiders" know jack. So I'll wait to see where he chooses when he does.

Yeah, I don't have any proof at all, but the person I know knows him very well. He spoke very highly of him in all regards, except for his work ethic. The thought that he was likely going to ND or Mich was also only his own thoughts, nothing from Amarah. I don't know much... but I do know a little and thought y'all might be interested. I hope my first statement didn't seem to disregard him. If you have read my other posts, you will find that I really want him for a few reasons (1- he is a stud athlete, 2- he is in-state, and 3- he is generally viewed as a good kid).

Finally has some highlights available:
