Alternate History: Tim Dwight

How great could he have been in the wildcat or even a read option guy? That team in ‘96 pissed down their leg in Tulsa, and at home with tOSU. Had the wildcat come around sooner, Dwight would’ve been great at it! Imagine Dwight, Shaw, and Banks in motion on a wildcat? Anyone else think that?

Maybe some jet sweeps. I watched Dwight a fair bit in HS, even back then a lot of plays tried to get him to the edge - sweeps, tosses, even some triple option. It's hard to overstate what a small guy Tim is. I think he was usually listed at 5'8" if memory serves...speaking as someone who has spent some time around him in person, I'd knock at least 2 inches off that. I think that is a big part of what made him so much fun to watch - a lot of speed, strength, fearlessness, and toughness stuffed into a small package. Probably my all time favorite Hawkeye - he was a god to us back in the day!

I think he would have gotten really beat up between the tackles at the D1 level. So, yeah, I would try some jet sweeps, I think.
