That is good to see. I was expecting to read about the Creighton kid, for a second. Mel is a good pick, and it is fantastic to see him being recognized as he made great advances in his game to finish the season. Those advances are continuing this spring & summer.
If the M's make the kind of strides that I believe they are capable of(Melsahn, May, Marble & McCabe), then Iowa will have a good team here people. It sounds like the first three have made significant improvements already. I haven't heard much on McCabe, but he will be a solid player, with potential to be more than that, if he busts his tail and trains hard.
Next year will be fun to see, it will be the beginning of a good, long ride for the Hawkeyes under McCaffery.

Excellent PR for the Hawkeye basketball program under Fran. The M squad should be improved, Dm. It is very good news about Marble and May showing vast improvement, if the reports can be believed. I hope to get to the PTL games soon. I think McCabe will improve quicker if he does not force the ball inside which doesn't work very well. With improved footwork and better shot selection, he should be a factor as he was on occasion last season. I am extremely encouraged about the direction Fran is taking the program.

It is great PR for the Hawks. Hopefully we will get a lot more of the good PR with this years recruits making a roster like this, and hopefully Woodbury and Gessel are on the All Firecracker team in 2013. 
The Hawkeyes will have an interesting team next year. If McCabe and the rest of the M squad can improve, along with the newbies, then look out for the Hawkeyes in 2011-2012... We WILL be upsetting teams this year. Count on it!
