Plus the job is in a major conference, the Pac-10 is down, if Phil Nike really wants him he can just open his checkbook, and first and foremost--his ego won't allow him NOT to take the position.
 
Oregon has a 250 million dollar arena opening in the fall. That is a top of the line arena...it must be the taj mahal...and the Knight money to hire a top coach? SA would be crazy not to listen.
 
I think Alf is actually the one spreading the rumor that Oregon is interested, much like the Missouri spoof before he left Iowa.

By the look of him on the sideline, it looks like he's been "listening to his stomach" quite a bit since he left here. Might want to lay off the refried beans and salsa.
