Akrum Wadley's running style....remind you of anyone?

To me, he has some Jamal Charles like characteristics.

A little bit straight-up, with really good vision and quick feet.

BTW: CONGRATS to Akrum Wadley on being named the Big10 Player of the Week....
on Offense.

Hats off to Akrum!

And hats off to HawgEyeState on mentioning it!

AW looked awesome, but I'd like to see a larger sample size before comparing. I'm encouraged by what I've seen from all the backs.

Add a healthy CJ and healthy/improving Oline, it might even get better....scary thought.

Fun things coming our way. He is the first back that looks the part. Natural instincts. Can't wait.

I was thinking Marcus Allen, with the way he can "make himself small" and avoid big contact. Surprisingly good short-yardage runner considering his frame.

Before anyone comes and poops all over the comparisons, no one in this thread is saying that Wadley is as good as NFL hall-of-fame caliber players, it is just natural that when you make comparisons you will pick someone who most can immediately recognize. No one is going to compare him to the San Diego Chargers 2nd string running back in the mid-80's because no one would know who we were talking about.

I was thinking Sedrick Shaw with less power but both have quick feet in the hole and vision, but yeah one game is a little too small sample to really tell

I strongly disagree there. Canzeri has absolutely looked the part this year (and in the past, when he was healthy, anyway), and Daniels did too before he got hurt. Mitchell is still feeling things out a little, but he's got a lot of potential.

This is as deep of a stable of backs as we've ever had under Ferentz. They've pretty much all looked the part.

I was going to say that he reminds me of Barry Sanders, Jerome Bettis and Chris Johnson. Sanders due to his near superhuman moves to make the first guy miss and guys in space look stupid. Bettis due to his hard nosed running style that will get you those hard fought short yards when needed. Johnson due to his near immortal straight line speed when he gets into the second level. He looks better than the kid from LSU, but because he didn't have a bunch of stars and SEC offers next to his name, he will be overlooked by the national media.

I really wonder what's going to happen after the bye. It depends on Daniels and canzeris health but Wadley needs the ball more and Mitchell more than held his own as well

Been thinking about this.

dont like Tavian Banks comparison. Tavian was not as elusive and jittery, just super fast through the hole and then faster than AW in the open field.

I was thinking more like Tavon Austin or Dexter McLuster.

I strongly disagree with your strongly disagree..

I've always thought Akrum had by far the most raw potential out of our running backs... but he is slightly built and had a fumble history.

Canzeri has some decent moves but nowhere the quick shift that Wadley has.

Mitchell has some decent speed and straight away power.

Daniels to me has never looked good... not even when healthy (he has a career 3.8 ypc avg). Canzeri is around 5 ypc career and Wadley 6.5

Daniels is your prototypical KF back. Seeks out contact rather than shows elusiveness. Likes the mosh pit. I'd compare Daniels favorably to Shonn Greene.

Why not let Daniels get up to his previous weight and more as a fullback and put in some plays for the fullback? And pass more to both running backs.. You know, diversify the offense even more. Or would that give KF a stroke?

Agree with BigTenChamp a lot..........
Hopefully, they are all Healthy for Maryland and the rest of way. If so, here's the depth chart, according to me.

Canzeri/A Wadley (on same line)
DMX
A Daniels

Sorry, but Daniels has never performed, or produced at same level as the other 3 guys, in my humble opinion.
