1. Iowa really lacks speed on the edges on both sides of the ball. It's not even close. Early on, over playing the edges worked, the Florida exploited that.
2. The 4th and goal was easy to see coming. Tapes would show that with LD in at back, would show where the ball was going.
3. I thought the announcers were more than kind about KF and CJ. It was apparent that Iowa does not have a back up ready qb. That is on KF. Against that defense, Stanley was doomed to fail. I"m guessing KF was actually thinking that there was no good reason to shell shock another qb.
4. KF absolutely had no feel for the game. Iowa had momentum and didn't even try and capitalize on it outside of the blitz by the little used guy.
6. Iowa's tackling is poor, likely due in part to lack of speed.
7. If you run a pro style offense and can't throw you are doomed to failure against sound teams. The problem is that MN, Wisky, OSU, PSU, UM, and usually MSU are all sound teams. IU is showing signs of that. Nebby at least wants to get there. KF's vision of a sound team is skewed by having slow players mixed in with talent.
