You really have to like a kid that wants to come in and help change the culture and the thought of Iowa basketball. Kids like this are what I see Iowa recruiting, it just helps that this kid is a very highly ranked player in the National picture.

Fran has the Iowa Hawkeye program so oozing with confidence it really is a sensational feeling. How many 11 win teams in the history of the NCAA know or knew they would be back working towards the top in just over one year??? Very few programs in the country can say that they have this much momentum building. And that momentum seems like a freight train, a train that has been accelerating since April 2010.
The great part about this, is that you know Fran will keep pushing year, after year, after year. He won't stop until we are top, And stay there... It is going to be a great ride here folks, if you aren't aboard already, jump on!

I agree with this sentiment. I'm just as excited or more excited for basketball than I was for football. It's a great time to jump on if you haven't already!

If I lived closer to IC I definitely would be buying season tickets this year and trying like heck to make every game. This is going to be a fun ride.

It is tough to not get excited about what Fran is accomplishing on the recruiting front. He knows what he is doing, and we are on our way to becoming a team to be reckoned with going forward.

Amen on this, I wish I were closer, so I could buy season tickets this year and not miss out for the seasons to come, it is going to be a fun next few years.

Excellent post, DM. Things are changing quickly, even quicker than the most avid fan could have imagined. Going to have to try to make it to IC for a game or two. Been a while, missed the Alford years, and you couldn't have paid me to attend the Lick years, however, I did watch every game. Fran is the Goods.....

True, and it's funny because it wasn't all that long ago that some fans were worried that Fran wasn't doing enough, getting enough recruits, and wondering if he'd be able to get it done.

I do, however, need to remind you that he hasn't done anything yet. He won September but he hasn't won March. I personally feel that this optimism you feel right now will be depleted by 15+ losses this year. However, bookmark this thread and shove it in my face if I'm wrong, because I'd love to be!
