Aaron White

The freshman had another solid performance. Aaron scored 12 points on 5 for 7 shooting. In addition, he had 6 reb., 2 asst., 1 block & no turnovers.

About the only criticism of Aaron's play last night was that he was only 2 for 5 from the line.

Over the last 5 games he is nearly averaging a double-double (14pts & 9.4 rbs).

In the threads that project starting lineups for next year, White is often penciled in at small forward. I'm convinced now that he should stay at power forward. He may be our best rebounder and next year he'll be a nightmare for teams to defend at the 4-spot.

He has a good outside shot too, but if he can develop that even more so he's consistent from 3, holy smokes.

I don't know that it matters what specific positions guys are penciled in on the front line. You will have four guys that will be fairly interchangeable - McCabe, Mel, White, Meyers and 2 that will give you a true post presence - Woody, Gabe.

You'll have four guards that can push the ball - A fifth shooter-type in Josh.

And the wild card in Dev.

The key will be to find the combinations that work well together and not really worry about whether that is two fours and five; Three fours; or a traditional five, four, three combo.

Aaron White always makes things happen. Even in games where it feels like he's been kind of quiet, you look at the box score and you're like "Holy cow, I didn't realize the kid almost had a double-double!"

I love his ability to get to the rim off the dribble - kid's explosive.

It's not that simple. You can't just completely ignore the defensive end of the floor. Playing 3 posts is a recipe for disaster on D.
