You're taking this out of context IMO. Fran turned it around and White was the best player in his 1st "true" recruiting class...not counting Basabe from the year before. The 3 guys you mention were crucial to our success but from a recruiting standpoint White was the 1st Big 10 caliber player Fran brought to Iowa. And he will end up in Iowa's career top 10 in multiple statistical categories.
Edit - And he didn't have a bunch of recruiting stars next to his name out of high school which is why I'm high on next year's class despite their "ranking" by the "experts."
