Is there any player in college basketball better at initiating contact and drawing the foul? I know other players do it and Dev Marble is pretty good at it. But no one is in the same league as Mister Rosacea when it comes to driving and throwing his body into an opponent and then either feigning the shot or shooting it while the opponent gets the foul. Maddening as an opponent and a fan of an opponent. But give him props.

I hope to never have to care about craft again. I will be completely ok with not seeing his beaming red face on tv ever again. Did Dakich wear off on you guys? Do we have to have another Craft love fest thread?

He is one of the worst players in the big 10, every game he commits 20-30 fouls that are not called. If these fouls were called and he did not have that crutch his ineptitude would show.

Aaron Craft is so good at fouling and getting away with 1st degree murder that MSU has a shrine of him to pray to before each game so they can also get away with mugging and tackling BBall.

These are Craft's numbers.

9.6 PPG
3.3 RPG
4.6 APG
2.4 TPG
2.6 SPG
49.4% from the field
35.0% from 3
74.3% from the line

The assist to turnover ration is less than 2 (1.92). He's not scoring in double figures as a 4 year starter...on a team that needs more offense. I will concede that he's a good defender...may as well foul if the refs will allow it. I don't think he's any better than 3rd team all conference. I think he will get no worse than 2nd team because...I don't know why.

He is ohio states star player this year. The conference and media are going to have someone from ohio state in the all-conference team if there is any way they can. He is a good player too.

Law, quit trolling us!!!!!!

I hate you for starting this thread. I throw up in my mouth a little every time someone mentions his name on BTN.

They have 2 or 3 real good defensive players. Craft is their best. However, I disagree that he's their "star player" this year. He gets the hype and the media love but Ross is their star IMO. Take away his offense and Ohio State is probably somewhere around Indiana in the B1G standings.

Being a middle of the pack team does not guarantee you a first team all conf player, no way.
MSU should have one. WI should have one. UM should have one. Iowa should have one. The last guy is a crap shoot among the rest.

Michigan State probably should have 2...out of Harris, Appling and Payne.

Sorry but a foul that isn't called isn't a foul. It may be by definition, but in the dynamics of the game its just agressive play. I think that anyone who fails to see the value that craft brings to his team either dislikes him because he's not a hawkeye or hasn't taken the time to watch him play.

Not going to go on a Dakich worshipping rant, but I'd take him in the black and gold in a heartbeat. Not necessarily willing to trade any of our current guys, but would love to see someone like him play in an iowa uniform.

Not a plea for Craft to be all conference by any means, but I don't feel that the top programs in the conference should be entitled to having a first teamer. There's just as many good players on bad teams who deserve recognition. I simply don't feel that a player should/shouldn't be looked at as an all conference player because their team sucks.

I simply feel the top 5 should be first teams, next 5 second team, etc... I don't think it should be influenced at all by where their team finishes in wins and losses.
