A pretty normal and healthy view

First, I'm not happy with the loss. Second, I don't "blame" anyone for any of it except, perhaps, the inexplicable lack of effort on Wiscy's last TD. Third, I'm not "quitting" the Hawks or "writing the season off". There was good, there was bad, and the Hawks stayed tough and competitive. And below is a pretty good perspective from what I consider a generally "not-the-most-positive" Hawk site:

It's a tough loss to a good team - IMO Iowa's offense looked pretty good. The special teams fumbles put their D in really bad spots and Wisconsin capitalized when they needed to. There is still a lot of play for and Wisci has games with Michigan and PSU left on their schedule. Wisconsin was the favorite to win the B1G West before Saturday and they proved why after Saturday. All this hand wringing over the coaching to me is kind of unwarranted. Iowa is a good football program and the difference Saturday night was a 3-0 TO margin that is hard to pin on either of the Ferentz's yet we still do and I am sure they do as well.

Repeating something that is probably self evident....but...it takes execution in all three phases to win...offense, defense and special teams. A and B held up their end of the bargain...."C" did not.
