A Lot of Tickets Left for Saturday

Is Barta going to give us a free bowl of soup with those 10K remaining tickets? ;)

Nothing on the line to play for + uninspiring opponent + cold weather = apathy

and the offense, don't forget about the offense.

My guess is they'll try to run the ball and control the tempo. No sense in being aggressive. Its all about resting the defense.

Reminds me of my friend as a kid. His parents were from the old country. They had plastic covers on all their furniture...because well, you have to keep it nice because some day you'll want to use it. And they had a living room that nobody could ever go into.

Not Iowa's fault in terms of who they are playing. Cold weather??? Better hide out all winter indoors cause it is late fall in the Midwest. Happens every year.

They can still control the tempo and be aggressive. It is all about their play calling and personnel.

If the university cannot sell the tickets I hope they can find a way to give them to an organization or some kids. It is a tough time of year when you have the factor in weather for travel and the week before Thanksgiving. I always think if you can get people in the seats it is btter than just eating them. Experience goes a long way and you can win over some fans just by getting them there in a cool atmosphere. You can never go wrong in my opinion in giving something like that to kids

I haven't been to Kinnick in several years, have they upgraded the concessions at all? I was watching the Baylor OU game this weekend and they had some stuff that looked incredible. The last time I ate at Kinnick it was by far the worst food I have ever had at any event. I don't expect much from a basic hotdog but it was really bad.

Hey sick kids up in the hospital, it is too cold out for all us fortunate healthy people who would normally come but it is just tooooooo cold. Otherwise we would be there to wave to ya. And oh yah you players that busted your ass for 4 or 5 years and this is your last game, well we don't like who you are playing and its too cold, so yah bye!

Our local high school has better concessions for football games than Kinnick, and you won't miss half a quarter waiting in line for then either. The grilled pork sandwiches alone are worth the price of admission. Of course it doesn't hurt that the local butcher shop is a big supporter of high school athletics.

I'm just waiting for the day an Iowa RB breaks through the line to open daylight, outraces everyone as he crosses midfield, and then abruptly stops around the 33 yard line and takes a knee. This way the Iowa offense can run potentially another 12 plays and drain the clock before kicking the FG at the Goal-line.

That's too bad. Be nice if seniors had a full house thanking them for their last home game. Hopefully they'll get closer to it by kickoff. 10k is quite a bit left.

If the Big Ten want to have two bye weeks and long tv time outs, fine. Offer the fans some heat vents to make it a little more tolerable. They spent all that money on remodeling, then make it more tolerable for the common fan not in club seating.

If they had one of those aluminum Christmas trees with the 4 color rotating light, then I think we had the same friend!
