A few positives from this tough season

The biggest positives that I have seen in this very frustrating year of Hawk BB:

1. Emergence of Fuller - I think he can be a 15 point / 8 rebound a game type of player and he has definitely shown positive improvement from his freshman year.

2. Athletic ability of Eric May - He has made some very athletic plays, especially on defense. I think he has shown the most hustle on the team. May will most likely make the All freshman Big 10 team and is a nice building block for future years.

3. Toughness of Cully Payne - Cully is about the only guard we have who can at least break a guy down off the dribble and get to the rim every once in a while. If we had another capable point guard who could give Cully 6-10 minutes of rest a game, I think he could be even better.

Next year's recruiting class will help provide depth and much improved practice competition, but Iowa can not survive any more player defections or transfers. I think next year will be the make or break year for Lick, so I hope we don't see anymore of the lackluster efforts like we saw on Saturday.

I also want to add a few more:

- Can now get exceptional parking spaces for games, even the handicap spots are available.

- Get a front row seat every game even with my $25 bargain ticket price.

- No longer have to "hold it in" while waiting for long que lines to the restroom or concessions.

- Have much more leg room and no longer have to be rude and obstruct other fans' views of the game while getting to my seat.

- Can just whisper across Carver to get the attention of a friend so that I no longer disturb those sleeping next to me.
