#1 Defense - I don't need to re-hash all the stats but at one point were giving up 53% shooting for a 7 game stretch.

#2 The decline of our outside shooting down the stretch - Josh O 15/53 30% Mike G 5/29 17% Z. McCabe 4/14 28% Uthoff 3-10 Marble 5-28 18% (but he was 6-12 in the two losses against minn and wisc)

#3 the decline/disappearance of Aaron White and Basabe. Averaged about 9 pts a game the last 5 or 6 games - Basabe... outside of Indiana game he scored a total of 14 pts over a 7 game stretch.

#4 Decline in rebounding - we dominated the glass for most the year until the end of the season - commonly would get out rebounded.

#5 Olaseni fade - didn't score in double figure in the past 7 games... averaged about 5 pts a game.

(#1) Our zone d plays WAAAY too aggressively and gets off-balance so easily, leaving the baseline open which is something you CANNOT do. (#4) is also what happens when you play zone. Rebounding numbers go down.

#2 cannot be explained. Shooters have to make shots.

#3 and #4 happened because our guards are very subpar at feeding the post. That has been an issue all season. We turn the ball over way too much when we try to get the ball to the bigs.

Little on-court leadership and poor substitution patterns were a key part of this too, imho.

In fear of this turning into a ***** fear about officials... Foul shots

Early in the year it seemed like we were at the line all the time. Granted we didn't always make them and it cost is a couple games but it felt like the # of attempts was way way down during the losing streak.

I put that on the players they started settling for mid range and long range more than attacking the hoop. A guy would have a good day shooting outside shots and then the next so many games they would try to recreate it. They needed to attack the hoop more.

Oh, and we are Indiana, we don't do the CBI.
I wouldn't want Iowa to play in the CBI so I don't blame Indiana for not wanting to play in the CBI. The NIT is as low as a big conference should go...unless you're name is NW or TCU.
