I was thinking of 1985 the other day...I was 14..and I was thinking about speaking to the iowa students and hawkapalooza and telling them about the 1985 hype...then I realized that was 25 years ago...
When I was a freshman in college, 25 years earlier would have been 1964...and if some 40 year old dude was up on the stage telling me about the 1964 Hawks, I would have looked at my watch and probably walked out...I cannot believe it has been 25 years since the 1985 season. Doesn't seem possible.

as much as I hated him then Spielman all over the field in the rain in Columbus
He broke my heart but that was ONE GREAT PLAYER and in my mind right now THE BEST color commentator out there and thank god they no longer have sentenced to having to sit next to Pam Ward for 3 hrs

Jon I agree sorta. But the difference between Now and 1985 vs. 1985 and 1961(or 4) is light years different.
At least in my mind.....
