8-9 wins...

Was what I thought was the floor this year. If we win less than 7, KF needs to go, along the Davis. For those that are familiar with me, you know I don't say that lightly.

I respect KF and think he's a great man, mentor, and teacher. But without massive improvement in schemes and offensive game plan, 7 wins becomes the ceiling, even with a veteran offense and talent, and that can't be OK.

When the offense appears to be literally going through the motions and you have to basically play a mistake and penalty free game to beat below average teams, its time for a change.

Its one thing when you don't have the talent, its another when it appears you do and don't even attempt to use it, or you constantly look like your "trying" new things, but showing you hand on every run play.

So angry.

Well we are looking at 6-6 and should be 2-2 now after PITT. 6 wins is if we win 4 conference games no less!

Under KF losing to ISU we average 6 wins, beating them we average 9.

They are the barometer of what kind of team we have and how bad we stink.

HW, you usually rub me the wrong way, but that's a good post. We're all angry now.

I love the Hawks. I don't mind conservative play and have been a defender of KF while acknowledging there are weaknesses. Hell, I don't even mind small ball, 4 yards and a cloud of dust ball. But we have some kind of hybrid crap going on and what I think to be studs in the outside that aren't even getting the ball.

It may be more Davis, but like Jon said, at some point the head coach has to fix it. It looks worse in weeks three than it did in week one. Not OK.

Without Northern Iowa giving us the game, via penalties, we probably should have lost that game. (oh, and UNI just lost to Hawaii).
Without Iowa pulling it's head out of its rear the last 3 minutes against Ball State, we probably should have lost that game (oh, and Ball State just lost to Indiana State).
Oh, and Iowa State lost by double-digits to an FCS school, gave up 250+ average rushing yards, prior to today, and we lost to them.

Sorry, this season is going to turn out bad.

L at Pittsburgh
W at Purdue (by 3 points)
L against Indiana
L at Maryland
L against Northwestern (we do know how to lose against NW)
W at Minnesota
W at Illannoy
L against Wisconsin
L against Nebraska.

That's 5-7, and with this schedule and $4 million/year salary?!

With the exception of Minnesota, I agree with this. I think the Gophs Kill us.

I am seriously trying to find Iowa's next win on our schedule......not seein' it anytime soon.....

Those are expensive wins!! Cannot tell me we cannot get a solid coach with are facilities, and paying a coach 4 million a year. He is paid as a top coach in college football, and is not has any coach lost more games as a double digit favorite?

He cannot identify talent at certain positions, nor at certain coaching positions. He is loyal to a fault. To lose yesterday not using wide receiver speed, and make no mistake, speed at WR was blamed for years, is really beyond comprehension.

Hawkeye Walker, I relate to your line of thinking more times than not. Guess what? I do here as well....

I have been patient, and have been supportive of the overall benefits of KF for our program, but with all that, you must remain competitive and entertaining. So far this season I see neither (unless an idea of competitiveness is barely playing to your "inferior" competition level). So far, this is sad and embarrassing. At some point we all will say "enough". With this years schedule and the apparent talent on the bench, that point for me will be 7 wins.

I'm not looking forward to see how it pans out, because based on what I've seen this far, it isn't pretty nor good.
