5 Iowa Football Newcomers Who Could Contribute in '21

Call me crazy but I wish that Cooper Dejean kid could get some looks on offense. Be it on jet sweeps/gadget type plays. Maybe Wildcat even. He looks like the kind of player that is amazing with the ball in his hands. His HS tape is insane. Might be missing an opportunity if they only put him at DB. Especially since he'll have to sit and wait behind a bunch of other good dudes already.

I've seen the idea talked about quite a bit among fans.

I don't see him being a two-way player or switching to offense so I think it will be an idea that is discussed throughout his time at Iowa and a source of frustration for fans. That said, I think he's going to be a really good safety.

Yeah that's what I'm afraid of.. I think it'd be fun as hell to have a small package of plays for him. Give him maybe 3 to 5 snaps a game tops. Gives defenses something to worry about. I would be really interested to know how those conversations go amongst the coaches about it.
