4* Recruits

I read somewhere, maybe Hawkeye Insider?, that our 2021 recruiting class now has 8 four star commits. I think 247 updated recruit rankings recently and this was the result. Pretty impressive offers for most, with a couple that came out of nowhere. Good story.

Good question. I've been pretty out of the loop on it all but it seems like it's been quite awhile since we've landed anyone.

The WR from Nebraska really blew up this Fall. That is going to be the best steal from the Cornsuckers since we nabbed Noah Fant.

We also have the two WRs in Ankeny coming that are pretty highly thought of. The one is via the KC area I believe who transfered up so he could play. Crazy to think that WR is a position of strength in the present and future both but it sure seems that way.

If we don't pick up a RB this recruiting cycle, I would love the coaches to look at giving Arland Bruce III a shot back there. Most of his highlights at Ankeny had him back there and he is fast and shifty.

Yeah I haven't heard much in that regard. It sounds like he's got great vision and quick/fast feet. I wouldn't see why not especially if the need is there. The WR room is half crowded as it is now too. I could certainly see that.
