3rd Quarter Defense

I was reading an article from Dave Resvine on the Big Ten Network website last night and came across this tidbit about Iowa.

"16: The Hawks didn’t allow a single third-quarter point in their win over Eastern Illinois, meaning they have now given up 16 TOTAL third-quarter points in the last 14 games dating back to last season."


I knew the number was low, but didn't realize it encompassed that many games. Kudos to the defense and the coaches for their half time adjustments. Let's hope the trend continues on Saturday.
 






This says so much about the ability of our coaches and players to make mid-game adjustments. Coming out for the second half is the most exciting part of the game for me. Lets us see who's better with Xs and Os.
