Lets run a sweep, It worked in a middle school game I went to once, probably will work here. Felt the players were cheated on that play call and a couple of others. They deserved to win this game. Grrrr

Frustrating because a couple other instances were Brian decided not to beat his head on the brick wall worked. Weird that bold play calls when you play to win and have trust in your players....work.

Why not a play action pass with a roll pass option, so many options, never used.
Anything other than a play action with Stanley rolling right with an option to tuck it or throw it is pure idiocy. That fucking play call. Ugh. THROW THE DAMNED BALL TO FANT.

Not sure if your busting my balls or in some sort of agreement, I'm thinking a rollout may provide an option for a tight end toss.

Yep, good point. Hard to run wide against a 3-4 with safety support near the LOS. Those outside Lbkrs in a 3-4 always have a good edge set and wisky had that safety up there for 8 in the box.

#1. Too long to go with the qb sneak. Fake into the line, throw for 1 yard or most likely a TD
#2 Fair catch on the 3? WTF?
#3 Get away from the damn ball when you let the punt roll out!

MSU, PSU, Wisc, 5 minutes left, need a TD to win, get it. They wern't thinking FG to tie it, they were looking to win with no time left.
Hawks played well enough to win despite fundamental mistakes. Basically controlled the game until the 4th

Play calling between the 20s for the most part was pretty good. Ran a lot of ISO and counter action that they weren’t expecting, route trees in the pass game were really good as well.

But on those two possessions inside the 10, the play calling really broke down.

On the first one, when we sprinted Fant out wide, he had single coverage with no safety help. An inside slant gets an easy 6.

On the 2nd one, when Fant sprinted wide again, the fake pitch naked bootleg to the area Fant vacated was there.

Finally, on our next to last drive that we punted on, Sargent gets 5 on 1st down. We’d been gashing them for 5 yds every time we ran inside zone/trap...yet inexplicably we call 2 straight pass plays. Sometimes, I feel BF gets way too cute when he doesn’t need to. That was definitely one of them.
