I am totally dropping the ball on this...
In any case we are on the backside of the month of August. High school football starts this Friday. College football is right around the corner!
Each week I will start a new topic and we can discuss until it's time for the season to start.
Week 1: Brew/drink of choice at the tailgate...done
Week 2: Best menu item...done
Week 3: Tailgate setup...done
Week 4: Tailgate spots...done
Week 5: Tailgate arrival time...done
Week 6: Tailgate games
Week 7: Best Tailgate moment/memory
Week 8: Best game day/Melrose/Kinnick experiences/stories
Tailgate games! Which games do you bring/play? Do you go with standard games or drinking games?
We're a more conservative tailgate group. We do drink but not like the fresh out of college group of people so there is no flippy cup or beer pong at our setup (although I have been known to wonder away from our group and play a round or two with other tailgaters).
We always pack the bags set. We have one of the store bought manufactured ones. Maybe one of these years I'll make my own from scratch or at least buy a nicely crafted one. Competition in bags tends to get a little heated in our camp, which makes it more interesting! In the past we have also brought ladderball but for us that's more of a game we play in the summer during family get togethers and not tailgating.
