I tried finding some national class rankings and then this article seemed a better one to read since most games are vs the Big 10. Anyway, the article mentioned a couple of decent 3* TEnd recruits and a 4 and 3* DLIne recruits as the highlights.

Who do you think might be ready to play at least 4 games this coming season or even more?

Do you think that #6 ranking is correct?

Doesn't matter, rank them in 5 years and see how they developed, stayed in football, transferred, or went on to the NFL. Unless you are always top 10 in the nation it really makes no sense to rank them

Yep. And even then, it might not matter much. Michigan is usually way higher ranked than Iowa in recruiting, but when we played in Ann Arbor, those teams looked pretty evenly matched. USC is always way higher ranked than Iowa and we slaughtered them.

Unless you're dealing in the caliber of ball players that programs like OSU, Clemson, Bama, LSU and Georgia get, it doesn't really matter much.

I applaud those who have made a living out of creating recruiting class rankings.

One of those guys who was a founder of that movement was from the northwest suburbs of Chicago. He was big in it in the early 2000's. My theory is that he way way way overrated kids from the Chicago area, and that was part of what made our 2005 class look really highly ranked. Now don't get me wrong, we had some serious stars in that class, but pretty much none of them other than Moeaki were from the Chicago area. Richardson would have been a star had he not been hampered by injury, but most of the big names from Chicago flamed out. Illinois had the same issue. They'd get a bunch of "stars" from Chicago and other than Rashard Mendenhall they all stunk. Their biggest success was when Locksley landed those guys from out east.

#6 is pretty good for Kirk.

Hopefully, it performs like a top 3 class when it eventually gets to the field. That's what Kirk can do more often than not.

I would like to see a lot more data on the rankings. For example, what is the distance between 6 and 4? We already knew OSU, PSU, and MICH were going to be 123.
