2016 Recruits Change Their Mind

Iowa had a great season and will be so much better with a victory over Stanford.

I hope the 2016 recruiting class stays together, but strange things happen.

Any thoughts how the recruiting class shapes up for Iowa? Do we lose any or add some?

I have no idea why any commit would jump ship at this point. However, I can definitely see some recruits who are still on the fence coming to the good guys.

I agree on why any commit would want to jump ship at this point. However, I can see us hopefully getting the following: DT Jovann Swann, OT Matt Farniok, OT Alaric Jackson and DB KJ Sails (recommit).

Any thoughts?

I think Sails wanted to visit South Carolina, and the coaches told him if he did, they were not going to be saving his spot. He decided to take the visit, so he lost his spot.

Sails doesn't seem like a good fit for Iowa IMO. He seems like the kind of kid who needs to have the spotlight like Willies. If he came to Iowa he probably wouldn't play his first year and would transfer anyway. Also, he said in an interview he wants to play college for 3 or 4 years. We need kids who want to be at Iowa.

Stanley is being recruited hard by WUs. Stanley is from Wisconsin. WUs doesn't have an heir apparent for 2016. He could go there and RS and then compete to be a 4 year starter. At Iowa, he'd have to battle Wiegers. Toren Young is from Wisconsin, also, but doesn't sound as though WUs feels they have a chance. So, the point is that home state schools can be persuasive, especially, if there is playing time offered right away.

I think I remember that about Sails. Iowa can sense if a verbal isn't all in or solid with their verbal commit.

I see that MSU has offered Cedric Lattimore. I hope Iowa has their net cast for perhaps their most ready recruit.

Any thoughts?

How many kids do you think we can sign?

Dont dismiss the Mutt Campbell talk.

Looks like Akinribade is taking an official to Indiana in mid Jan (still scheduled a week later to Iowa as well). A little puzzling since IU got a RB verbal from a TX RB shortly after Howard announced for the draft.
