Gameday! Yes...GAMEDAY, time to get Hellerball going again. Hawks take on a very strong Dallas Baptist team tonight in Game 1 of the 2016 season.
Hoping for another great year for the Hawks! Great staff, lots of homegrown talent, doing things the right way. GO HAWKS!

Some rough defense in the 7th turned a tie game into a 5-1 loss. Back on the field this afternoon.

Rough weekend for the boys getting swept. Dallas Baptist is a very good team though, actually coached by former City High star Danny Heefner. If Heller were to ever retire someday he would be number 1A on my list to be the next Hawk Coach.

Iowa beats Maryland 8-1 in the Big 10 opener!

Maryland's pitcher was a 1st team all-American last year and is projected to go mid-1st round in the June draft.

Nice series win by the Hawks over Maryland last weekend. Been struggling a little to start the year but starting BIG play 2-1 is nice. Hoping they can build off it!

Agreed, love the passion and effort of college baseball. They play the game the right way. Fun game to watch even in a loss. The Dawson kid from OSU was a one man wrecking crew.

Congrats to former Hawk Matt Dermody on his call up to the big leagues today! Matt is from Norwalk. Great to see Iowa kids achieving their dreams!
