It would just be vacant. If you played by those rules, Iowa would have another Big Ten Tourney title in basketball in 2002 since OSU was stripped, but that isn't how it works.

Georgia Tech vacated the 2009 ACC Championship against Clemson; it stays vacant.

I agree with other posters, I wouldn’t want it. It’ll come with an asterisk and jokes forever. It’d be about as hokey as the Hawks’ ‘58 “championship.”

At least the '58 championship was given AFTER bowl games by the FWAA. And, part of the reason is that Iowa was an "integrated" team with an "integrated" schedule. The other "Champion"? Not so much.

And don't forget about 1996-1997. Iowa finished tied for 2nd with Purdue to Minnesota who had their title vacated to academic scandal.

It should be forfeits rather than vacated wins. In 1977 Iowa's win total was adjusted because UCLA had to forfeit all of their games. What the MSpedos did was far worse, so at the least these should be forfeits. So Iowa is the 2015 big 10 champions.

That game was not right anyways, not only was Josey Jewell tackled on that last play, with a no call, but in the 1st half the was an obvious missed targeting call on what would have been a George Kittle touchdown. The MSpedo linebacker targeted him causing the ball to bounce to another MSpedo player in the endzone. Iowa would have been 1st and short and in a great position to score a touchdown that would have made the final drive irrelevant.

It's kind of a silly question but this is exactly why I never think cheaters get punished enough. They didn't just cheat, they frequently stole something from someone else that can never be given back.
