Kasongo has had the strangest recruitment most experts have ever seen. Don’t know where to even start on him. Has offers from Arizona, UConn, UCLA, etc. Visited Kansas after being denied admission to Oregon. Cancelled visit to Indiana at the last second, then did the same with Mich St, then signed with a JUCO but was intercepted at the Denver airport last night en route to that JUCO by someone who rerouted him someplace else. Possibly here? I don’t even…

I think he originally is from Canada. With all the rules, he might of had trouble clearing academically. It doesn't necessarily mean he isn't a good student. Iowa has a scholarship for 2014 and he obviously is a good player by the offer list. Hopefully, if the Iowa staff want him, he will come to Iowa. They wanted a power forward in the last recruiting class. If he comes to Iowa, it probably will make Fran a lot of friends with some of the junior college coaches.
See above but on a side note, don't classes start at Iowa tomorrow?
I don't see how Fran could take anybody for 2014 and expect them to play right away, especially with the admission troubles this kid has had with schools like LSU and Oregon.
