10-3 Non-con
10-8 in the B1G
2-1 in the BTT
22-12 overall and an 8 seed in the dance (The Mr. Davis seed as I call it).

I think we can do much better than this, but also I think there will be some bumps in the road. If the Hawks can survive the BoneG conference schedule then they should be ready to do some dancing!

Also, I think Aaron White really steps his game up this year and Woodbury fills out enough to assert himself down low come conference play.

23-8 (11-7)

We are within 23 days of the season's start. It'll be tough to wait that long.
By the way, the Purdue and Illinois games being listed twice doesn't mean we play them on consecutive nights. It means the game will be on one night or the other, but it hasn't been scheduled yet. So we have 18 conference games instead of 20, Meat, and it looks like you could use to learn the game.

A runner-up finish in the BTT leaves us 25-10 (11-7) with a 6 seed in the tournament.

I don't want to see you posting here again until you know the names of every one of our inbounds plays. Learn the game!

11-2
12-6

I think we did this in another thread:
I think 2-1 in Atlantis would be a good result and then we split with ND/ISU. The rest I think are solid wins.

In the B1G, the Hawks lose @MSU, and @Mich. The toss-ups are @OSU, @Wisc and @Ind and home against MSU and Mich. My prediction here is we go 3-2 in the toss-ups. The rest I think we can win.

So I'm thinking 11-2 in non-con, 14-4 in the B1G (2nd/3rd) and 2-1 in the BTT for a total of 27-7. That should be good enough for a 2/3 seed.

Just my 2¢ .. .. and maybe not worth that!! :D

GO HAWKS!!!

Now .. having reminded myself of what I said and taking into account what I've read in the last 6 to 8 weeks, I'll go over it again. Hopefully with a slightly more un-biased view.

In non-con, I still think 2-1 at Atlantis is do-able. The split I still stand by, although the more I read, the more I think Iowa beats ISU. ND is a good team and the game is more than likely a toss-up that, for the purposes of this exercise, I will chalk up in the loss column. All the rest the Hawks should win.

In the B1G, that's where things change a little. MSU is good this year .. really good. MSU will more than likely sweep the Hawks and win the regular season. I think Mich and OSU are splits. The game @Ind could be tough as it's late in the season and Ind will have had time to gel and get the benefit of the home court. The only other loss I see is possibly @Wis. But it's still early in the season and definitely early in the B1G season, so I'll predict an Iowa sweep. The rest of the B1G schedule I see as Hawk wins, but I'll throw in a loss at either Minnesota or Illinois. I think the team will have a down night at some point during the season and a loss at either of those places isn't out of the question.

So if my math is correct, that's 11-2 in non-con and 12-6 in the B1G for a 23-8 record. That SHOULD be good enough for 4th in the B1G and possibly as high as 3rd. Depending on seeding and where MSU falls in the B1G tourney, I see 2-1.

Bottom line .. 25-9 and a 4 seed in the Big Dance.

Just my 2¢ .. .. and again .. .. maybe not worth that!! :D

I don't think MSU sweeps us. That game was wicked close in Carver and in the BTT. I think we"ll get them in Carver this time around and give us a legit signature win.

I think the four teams you listed are the only teams I would consider us underdogs against.

Non-conference: 10-3

Big Ten home: 7-2

Big Ten road: 3-6

Big Ten tourney: 1-1

NCAA tourney: 1-1

22 Wins 13 Losses or 23-12 if we win eleven non-conference games (very possible)

Big Ten regular season is going to be absolutely brutal - many close wins and close losses

7 seed in the Big Dance!!!

Three OOC losses would be extremely disappointing, considering the most likely candidates would be Kansas, Notre Dame and ISU. In other words, the three OOC games where a win will really earn us something come March.
