White, I just read a article from Feb when Whites team upset the No 1 in ohio. Fran stated he would compete for a starting job. I think I agree with that.

It is exciting though that we have a top 150 player in Ogelsby and everyone is talking about limited minutes this year. Definately a step in the right direction. Depth we have not had for many years.

It will absolutely be White. We also might see Olaseni play a lot more than we would expect out of pure necessity.

In any event, pretty sure Iowa gets their third all-frosh B1G team member.

Northwestern, Nebraska and Penn State......but your greater point stands.

hawkeyeryno....u seem to be in the minority. I think you need to watch the kid play. The kid is a true "baller" from the word go. Sure, he needs to put on some pounds and muscle, but how about naming a freshman in the last century that you cant say the same thing about? White will indeed start by mid-season. He simply has to much skill, to much length, and appears to be a very intelligent bball player. There's room for that on just about every BIG team or any other bigtime conference.

Meyer is coming in next year and hopefully a legit 6'10" or taller C will sign with us. That means that Olaseni had better develop or he will be riding the pine.

Oglesby is a sharp shooter with a decent handle but by all accounts will have a hard time penetrating. Pure shooters are a nice commodity on really good teams as they fill a role but not exactly a key contributor if your other players struggle at penetrating or lack an inside game.

Yes, White wouldn't be starting on a good team. Iowa has had three frosh in a row on the all B1G freshman team that wouldn't start on good teams. Chalk up another.
