I am always interested in the TV schedule and bowl schedule. I like that the Insight Bowl is on ESPN now. The NFL Network provided very poor exposure. Also confirmation that the Dallas Football Classic will be on ESPNU and will be the new bowl to kickoff the New Year now with an 11am CT kick.

Wow, the Big 10 has 5 bowl games on New Years Day. I love it! Now I only hope they stagger out the times so I can watch one right after another.

Good catch. The Insight has been one of the least watched bowl games, because they were on the NFLN

Well unfortunately that isn't happening, in fact the Outback and Cap One start at the same time now and I hate that. Here are the starting times in the Central Time Zone.

Dallas Football Classic 11 am
Outback Noon
Cap One Noon
Gator 12:30 pm
Rose 3:30 pm

They're not. Click on the link Jon provided at the top. The Outback, Capital One and Gator will all be played at the same time essentially. And really the Dallas Football Classic too for the most part. Only the Rose Bowl will be by itself.

But I'm a channel flipper, so I don't mind bouncing between games during commercials. This will work fine for me.

Wow, I wonder why they would schedule them like that. They have to know the TV sets in the midwest would tune into those games if they staggered them out. One would think the ratings would suffer as a result of it.

Really? Very poor choices IMO. Rose could easily be a late game. With being played on the W Coast they could kick off at 5 pm Pacific which would be 8 EST. I think that woudl be much better. Then you could stagger some of thsoe other game. My line up (in EST time) would be Dallas 11, Outback 2, Cap One 5, Rose 8. that would be a great day of football. is there a legit reason for them to jumble those first 4 games that I am over looking?

Sorry - should have looked at link. Fiesta is the night game that day. Still think it could be staggere much better though.

No kidding. It's frustrating as hell to have to flip through a bunch of Big Ten games and not get to watch any in their entirety. Especially when they're as close as NW/Auburn and PSU/LSU from this year.

That is 8 Big ten bowl tie ins. nine if the big ten sends two to the BCS. Why do i have the feeling that the Big ten will almost never have enough teams to send to the dallas and little ceasar games? Possibly the Texas Bowl too?

Thank you....thank you....thank you....new Big-10 bowl schedule is just silly and actually cuts down on "one team at a time" exposure. Did I mention silly?

Get rid of this pig-trough-money-fest nonsense and get us a playoff already!

I guess this must have been set up with an eye toward major expansion. It would be the only way to fill the bottom 2-3 bowls each year.

Also, The Big ten really needs to get with ESPN and ABC, and redo those starting times. And 5 bowl games on new years day? i think they really deluted the specialness of making a jan bowl game.

I'll watch one (or more) games on the tube and another on the laptop.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Different in this case doesn't mean better.
More, in this case, also doesn't mean better.

You can't watch just one Big-10 team exclusively.

Time to get rid of this pig-trough-bowl-money-grab nonsense and put in a true playoff!
