Watching now on BTN. I remember watching this game in 1986. I was happy that we won but I was frustrated the whole game. I kept yelling at the TV. I keep yelling, we are the Big 10, we are rated in the top 20. we can't beat these pee ons? San Diego St. look light they were going to run all over us.

Cosign. I was still a student (jr) and this bowl was extremely aggravating.

Really was a great game and great bowl attended that game and the following year.

Watching any game from the 80's I amazed at how bigger, faster, stronger the players have gotten over the past 30 years. How much more complex the game is now compared to then.
