What an atmosphere that was on that day. And night.
And the night before.
If ESPN Game Day were around back then you know where they would have been.
And you know where I would have been. I would have been the one holding up the sign that read "Your State Tax Dollars At Work"
In actuality I paid a good chunk of my own tuition which you could do in those days if you went to an in state public school. I worked for the City of Dubuque street department in the summer. My dad co-owned a side business that sold groceries to river barges and I worked for that as well.

Had nice wins in 2009 and '10 as well. The Stanzi era.
Oh yes, how could I forget, I think DJK set a receiving record up at Ann Arbor. I might watch a few of these hilite reels on youtube today

I was perhaps 20 rows up and 20 feet to the right ftom where that roll came flying. Where the student section was in those days.
