#14 Iowa vs Illinois Game Thread

Enjoy Valentine’s Day with your 14/13th ranked Iowa Hawkeyes as they host Illinois and continue their undefeated home record. The game will start at 7:00, and also air on btn plus.

 
This will be a great warm-up game before heading to Rutgers Sunday.

Hopefully Garza can work on staying out of foul trouble. We're going to need it seeing how Rutgers' guards like to drive to the hoop.
 
We need to take this game very seriously and start with a good defensive effort. No point in letting the Illini get any confidence. Our defense will be better if Makenzie Meyer can play. Hoping for the best, Go Hawks!
 
Minnesota just beat Purdue and Ohio State is up 17 against Rutgers at halftime. An Iowa win will separate them even more from everybody, but Maryland.
 
Not finding the game on TV. Is Fran letting Cook get aggressive down low? I don’t want him in foul trouble early.
 
What the heck. Why would the Hawks be playing on BTN+? Wouldn’t the main networks want to have Bohannon back on tv after his buzzer beater the other night?
 
Ohio State still up double digits in the 4th quarter against Rutgers. Wisconsin up 11 against MSU after 1 quarter.
 
Damn. Ten point lead, let’s get Garza on the bench and go zone for a bit so we can save our legs for down the stretch. Brad Underwood doesn’t have a good team but they’re not going to roll over either.
