...is St. Louis's record.

1st place in NL Central
4th best record in NL
3.5 games ahead of Cubs

Considering....
No Wainwright
Carp is hurting
Theroit, Augenstein, Craig, Schumaker, Tallet also on DL
Bullpen is by committee
Pujols is struggling

I'll take it.

That is all.

STL is an average team playing in maybe the worst division in baseball.

I agree with this. As a cubs fan I thought that mean they might be able to hang around the top with their club, but they have been terrible as of late. Dempster sucks this year, Garza is inconsistent. The "big boppers" aren't hitting for power and very little consistency in production from the lineup. The BP has been good, getting Wells and Cashner back will be very nice (hope they pick up where they left off) since Russell isn't a starter and Coleman just isn't there yet.

I don't think anyone will run away with the Central (unless it's those running to the bottom) but I think it's a 3 team race Cards, Brew, and Reds with Cubs looking up as usual.
