11 is the key number next year

If we can get that magic number it accomplishes two things.....

1. It gets Ferentz his 100th win at Iowa.
2. It gets us our greatest 4 year stretch (39 wins) under Ferentz.

Exactly what i was thinking lol. Next year could be a conference championship or maybe not even go to a bowl game. You never know what Iowa will do.

lol same as other people...it's one thing I've learned about Iowa football love it or leave it...I am not going to predict a conference title next year.....but....it would not surprise me if this team goes out and has a 2002, 2009 type year...it's just the way Iowa football works...when a team has low expectations by media its 1000000000000000x more likely to pull a ridiculous season out of the blue. And that is why I am an Iowa fan....for those years. which are OH so sweet after the disappointing ones.

but that said I am EXPECTING: 8-4
However would not be surprised with 10-11 wins...it's just how it works.

Punch a nun? Come'on dude. Try some better rhetoric like, "if we get to 11 wins next year, I will go find a nun and spank'er in the arse!"...

11 wins next season isn't out of the question, with a bowl win. It's a stretch, but possible. IF we get McNutt & Sash back next season (and are our running back stay healthy and/or our recruits are capable), our offense will be good to great. Not even KOK can mess that up... If our defense can stay healthy, and we don't lose EVERY linebacker in the 2-deep like this season, we will have a good defense, as usual.

Basically, no injury bug and we will have a great season. That's a tall order after what happened this season!

I think with the divisions our chances of getting 11 are slightly better than they would be with the current schedule.

8-9 wins would make me very satisfied next year considering the large class of seniors leaving. If we start planning on 11 now we likely only set ourselves up for the same heartbreak this year brought. Let's leave some room for pleasant surprises.

I think we are going to see another Iowa team that grows and really plays hard and is in it every game just like most other Ferentz teams....But I think we could lose close ones to PSU, NW, and I was predicting Pitt as a possible loss if Dion Lewis went back to being Dion Lewis...until the nuclear fallout started over in pittsburgh...If you look at the schedule...it's not very heavy next year....realistically....some people will tear me up for this but...I could see a 10-2 regular season with a close loss in Big Ten title game to OSU.

IF UM hires Harbaugh...they're going to be better...but Rome wasn't built in a day...it's another wholesale offensive change....and UM isn't as stacked as it was a couple years ago.

Amen Hawkeye Joe!! I think that I will adapt that new philosophy from now on, every season. I will thoroughly enjoy myself much more with the Hawkeye experience that way! And not die of a heart attack in the process...
