10th Assistant Coach

Ok, so assuming the NCAA okays an additional assistant coach, how do y'all think Kirk handles it?
Another full-time recruiter?
Strictly QB coach?
Co-offensive coordinators?
Full-time enforcer of committed recruit policies?

Here would be a good fit for Iowa, this is assuming that Bobby Kennedy is out as WR coach:

Brian Ferentz to Co/OC
AJ Blazek as OL
David Riah as QB coach
Darrell Hazell as WR/CoOC

I thought Hazell was a spread guy; so I took a quick look at his bio, as a assistant he never really coached under a spread attack. Nehlen? Wasn't he an option guy? Also, I thought Hazell was in his early 40's no big deal he is in his early 50's.

If it plays out this way I would be good that. I would be open minded and give it a chance anyway.

Just spitballing on Hazell more than anything. He was WR coach under Tressel for a long time and they had a traditional attack. Heck maybe Hazell wouldn't come back to a position coach job anyway.

I really like the idea of bringing in both AJ and Raih though. They are both younger guys who would presumably do well on the recruiting trail.

Maybe a dedicated punting specialist? One with a lot of experience punting from inside your own 45 yard line.

If I begin with the assumption that our receivers coach will move on, I would really hope that KF would strengthen the O side of the coaches' positions and hire a designated QB coach and of course, replace the receivers' coach position. I would hope that these two newbies would spend a lot of quality time on the recruiting trail in defense of their own responsibilities. I think KF already has a recruiting coordinator assigned...right?

We need help on offense. I think Kirk should let the new OC have a big influence on who the 10th assistant is and their role. I just want the additional resources focused on improving the passing attack because it seems clear to me this is where we are behind.
