10 Remaining Games

I'm interested in everyone's take on the 10 remaining games. I'm not looking for projected wins and losses or our final record. That's been debated several times. Rank these games from 1 to 10 with 1 being the toughest and 10 being the easiest.

1 - @ Indiana
2 - Maryland
3 - @ Michigan
4 - @ Nebraska
5 - Illinois
6 - @ Penn State
7 - Minnesota
8 - @ Northwestern
9 - Rutgers
10 - Northwestern

Maryland and Michigan are both tougher than Indiana.
- Maryland will outrun Iowa;
- Hawks always suck at Crisler;
- Hawks bigger than Hoozherz but they will rain 3's.

Not that it really matters, anyway. All 3 are losses. Focus needs to be on stealing Nebby or PSU (or both would be swell) and taking care of the rest you should beat.

I would move indiana to 2nd or 3rd and leave everything else the same.

I did this without reading any of yours (Windsor) except for accidentally seeing IU.

1 - @ IU
2 - vs MD
3 - @ Mich
4 - @ Neb
5 - @ PSU
6 - @ NW
7 - vs Minn
8 - vs ILL
9 - vs NW
10 - vs Rutg

Disagree with you guys about IU and Mich games. If game was played today (and I don't think it matters if it was today or not), Iowa would be bigger dogs @ IU. Indiana is better than Michigan and they are both on the road. HMP for IU will be back for that game too.

MUST go 6-4 at min. And one of those must be against a highly rated or high RPI team, Maryland or IU come to mind.

5-5 or less and we are NIT bound almost for certain.

Well we agree on 1 through 4 and I'm guessing we agree we better win 5 through 10...regardless of level of difficulty. And I think we will get at least 1 out of the 1st 4. And I agree with the comment in your other post about Indiana. I think it's the toughest game left on the schedule...even before Indiana cut Wisconsin's 32 point lead to 12 in about 5 minutes last night.

Windsor - And IU didn't have Blackmon or HMP last night. Yeah 5 -10 are tough to rank. Should win them all. I tried to imagine where Vegas would set the line for each game, and then went from there.

I've seen enough of Maryland by now to know we really should win Sunday. I think they peaked early. If we get a win tomorrow...not saying we will...an 8-2 finish is not unrealistic IMO.

I think you are wrong, Iowa hasn't lost to a team outside of the top 50 and have quality wins on the road. They destroyed Michigan tonight on the road so they will get in If they have a winning record the rest of the way.

We just went 5-4 against maybe the hardest conference schedule so far. Now we need to go 5-4 against maybe the easiest conference schedule the rest of the way.

Win the home games and get 2 on the road and we're 12-6. This is certainly doable with our remaining schedule. It sure looks like 12-6 will be good enough to tie for 2nd. I really feel like the game against Maryland will decide if we go 11-7 or 12-6.

Win on Sunday puts Hawks at 15-8 and 6-4, probably wound only need 5 more regular season wins and one BTT win to get in NCAA.

7-2 over the next 9 is very possible. Would be nice to see Hawks go on late season run in opposite direction as last year.

Iowa controls its own destiny to make the NCAA tourney. Cliche yes, but true. They are capable of winning every game remaining on the schedule. They have 5 home games remaining and of those 5 Maryland is currently the most successful of the 8 different opponents Iowa will face. Of the 4 road games I would rank @Indiana as the most difficult game on the schedule.

Iowa must avoid let downs after big wins. Beating Maryland on Sunday would be a significant win and to let down after the win at Michigan would be damaging in a number of ways. Iowa can position themselves to not be under pressure to have to win to reach the tournament over the next 6 games. Four of the next six are at home with the two road games at Northwestern and Nebraska.
