0ne NFL Insiders views on the Hawks/NFL Prospects

I have a friend you would call an NFL Insider. I recently asked him what he thought about the Hawks season, and what he thought about our NFL prospects coming out.

I cut and pasted his comments below:

"I think Tony could be a first day pick. Scouts think he is the best blocking TE in the nation and he boosted his stock at the Orange Bowl.

Edds and Angerer should be solid pros... think Angerer can be a starter.

Buluga is a first round talent, but he would have been top ten talent if he stayed as a senior. He had a better Soph year..

But, for the Hawks, amazing season. best coaching job Kirk has ever done with the injuries and the lack of skill players on offense.

Pasadena next year and the Roses."

I thought he did a nice job of summarizing the season, and I think his assessment of the players we have entering the draft is apt.

Hope he's right about us going to the Rose Bowl next year.

I thought the same thing. I really wonder if the spectre of a rookie salary cap added to his decision.

But, you can wish in one hand ....

Best of luck to all the guys headed to the pro ranks.

No mention of Spievey?

huh? the TEs and WRs may have been our best group ever.

while we did our fair share of injuries, the defense was injury free for most the year.

I dont want to sound like a jerk, but there is no real inside info there, that seems to be the view of most people on this board about those players and the NFL

Shouldn't you be trolling the basketball threads instead?

Brandon Wegher's 113 yards in the Orange Bowl, against the vaunted ACC champions, must have been overlooked, by this 'NFL Insider'?

It can happen..........

My point, for those in Rio Linda, was that the Iowa Hawkeyes are just fine at RB.

Try checking out the tape of the Orange Bowl, for some Wegher-Bomb highlights.

Have a nice week, my adorable Hawkeye friends//////////////
