My bad...I don't think GSP was a college wrestler but he has some of the best wrestling in MMA...and can be rather boring to watch at times but he use to be very exciting.
I think the generally consensus is that wrestling is the best background. You have to be well rounded to have any chance of being a contender but wrestling is a great starting point. I do agree that guys that are no more than wrestler are very boring to watch and as a rule they hate being put on...
But I will say as a man that has spent a little time in the Hard Drive gym in CR that it is pretty noticeable when a wrestler comes in that doesn't like to get hit.
Wrestling is by far the best base for MMA. Wrestlers dictate where the fight takes place but you have to have a little boxing considering each round starts standing.
I agree...I don't think anyone is trying to argue that but give respect when respect is due. He played a great game in an elimination setting. Maybe he will choke in game 7....who knows but he got it done tonight.
If you have ability to read or comprehend you would see that I'm not a Lebron fan. I've made that clear several times. I think he is an ******** and cares more about his brand than he does the game of basketball or winning but be had a clutch performance tonight. Hope he can do it again in game 7
