I think when they are able to run the full court slow down press they transition into zone and then man on misses maybe.......the last couple of baskets pre timeout(not including the 3 after Garza’s free throws) they were in a man defense

The refs are allowing some fairly physical play on the inside which doesn’t bode well for us without Cook

Why does Fran insist on running a man defense at times? We don’t match up on the perimeter....JBO cannot guard his shadow.

I concur. I’m not hating on him. I think he has the opportunity to be a very solid player for Iowa over his career. He needs someone to tell him to pass the ball. It’s like Fran’s offense stops once its passed into the post, no movement around the perimeter.

I still feel like Garza makes some really poor choices. And doesn’t look to pass enough out of the block which makes the rest of his team stand still likely believing he wont pass the ball

I said yes. But, I don't say yes if Barta remains AD. I'm not sure he is willing to give up overall reign. The first few years felt like Barta had a reign over the bball program. Maybe I'm wrong. I like Fran, I really do, I'm just not sure he can coach and control a B1G program. He recruits like...
