It will not be held in the West Gym. It will be in either the McLeod Center or UNIDome. Too much money to turn away if it's held in the West Gym. The McLeod Center holds at least 4000 more, figure at least $10/ticket X 4000=$40000 minimum they'd lose by holding it in the West Gym.
DSJ just lost to this years national champion. You can tell he works with Burroughs, same blast double. I don't think anyone will touch Green dude is too damn quick.
I suspect if Cory doesn't see the mat by the end of January, he is probably done for the year. We only have three meets in February so he wouldn't have much time to show if he can respond to a one hour weigh in. I hope Brands wouldn't take him to Big Tens hoping he can survive the one hour weigh...
Gabe Dean from Cornell defeats Ruth 7-4 in Southern Scuffle finals.
Match wasn't even as close as the score indicates Dean should have gotten another TD in the first. Ruth actually had two stall warnings as well costing him a point. Dean is only a freshman.
I think he'll make some good money doing this, once he graduates and focus on this full time. He'd sell a few of these in Iowa. Put me down for one each, Gable and Ramos.
Do like the NFL, you get 2 challenges per meet, but only one can be used in any single match. If both are successful you get a third. If either of the first 2 challenges fail, you don't get the third. Any scoring at the end of period gets reviewed just to determine if time ran out, have video...
Just because Gambrall is dropping, if the rumor is true, doesn't mean he automatically gets the spot. Brands will have them settle it on the mat. Ethan can't stop him from dropping but he can stop him from starting, by beating Gambrall.
No, but the Olympics are earlier this year, so USA Wrestling decided this was a better alternative than to do the usual Nationals and trials. They could have done nationals earlier but it would have interfered with the college season.
