When you look at Iowa's facilities, recruiting strategies and monetary resources, it's very simple: without Ferentz, Iowa is Purdue and averages 3-6 wins a season. Period.
I don't know what else to say, honestly. If you guys think Iowa is an elite program (again, seriously?) with consistently great year in, year out recruiting classes, you're about to have a very upsetting year.
You're excused. That's an unrealistic expectation.
You can't just plug an awesome coach into an otherwise 7th, 8th or 9th place Big Ten team and expect that team to be a perennial national title contender. Talk about drinking the kool-aid...
