If the information can be believed that Lester is good with the QB room as is, then we can expect more passing next season. Heck beat out Hank as the season progressed and I don't see him giving it back absent injury. He is undersized, but so was Drew Tate. What we have returning at WR that...

    PSU and ISU schadenfreude

Campbell is probably about the best option for PSU at this point. But, they are going to have to lay out a trail of $100 bills between Lames and Happy Valley. Hope it happens. Campbell is a good coach, and we don't play PSU every year.

Fry's Forecast Fizzled: KF Confirms He Will Be Back in '26.

I can't tell if the discussion of KF leaving to take the PSU job is serious or not. If it is, wow, just wow. That is short bus material. If it was a joke, make it funnier. :)

Fry's Forecast Fizzled: KF Confirms He Will Be Back in '26.

I don't believe that it went down the way that it was presented to Fry. The notion that Beth and the Booster boys had one hot candidate, and if they could talk him into it, they would kick KF to the curb in favor of the new guy, and if not, stick with what they got, and all without KF's...

    KF Starting QBs

Stanley and MG had similar games. Stanley was a better passer and MG a better runner. MG has an IT factor that Stanley never had. That breaks the tie for me.

Fry's Forecast Fizzled: KF Confirms He Will Be Back in '26.

Unless he announces a succession plan and coach in waiting. My suspicion is that Beth is not ready to tie her hands and allow KF to choose his successor. I agree with that decision on her part. Now, if Iowa wins 11 games next year, KF may have a bit more say in how this transition occurs.

Fry's Forecast Fizzled: KF Confirms He Will Be Back in '26.

I see no reason to believe next season will be under .500. The schedule lightens up. Yes, we will lose a lot to graduation and early NFL entry, but there is a really good core returning on defense and there are pieces to build around on the offense. We will grab 5 starters/rotation guys out...

Other than that you believed the information you were fed and were 93% wrong in your prediction. :)

Fry's Forecast Fizzled: KF Confirms He Will Be Back in '26.

Eliot Clough @EliotClough Kirk Ferentz says he will definitively back and coaching Iowa next season."I don't feel any different than when I was 60. ... I don't envision stopping in the near future." 2:15 PM · Dec 3, 2025 · 876 Views

    Lane Kiffin fiasco

Unless you cull down who is eligible to make the playoffs, there is no way to do this without a committee. Even if you narrowed it down to just the 4 Big Boy Conferences, you still have like 60 teams. I don't know what you do with the new Pac 12. You can't just give each conference a certain...

    KF Starting QBs

I think Iowa got the best football out of Stanley it could. He hit a ceiling and it was fine. I think if we had another year with Gron he would be even better. He was starting to get more comfortable passing and was generally a better playmaker as the season went along. I think he would be...

    Write it down...

Its pretty underhanded to recruit and get a kid to commit to you knowing you were not going to be there. Doesn't strike me as something KF would do.

    Donavon Raiola

I think you are right. However, there is no way this kid can go anywhere where he is not guaranteed the starting job. I am not sure there are too many Top 10 teams that would do that right now. Has he shown that he is definitively better than the other 5 star QBs on the roster?

    Boise State...

Technically, they only get the automatic bid if they are one of the 5 highest ranked conference champs. It would seem likely that a reconstituted Pac 12 champ would hit that, but not guaranteed. And, it would not shock me if they tweak the rules again. It doesn't seem like anyone really like...

    MSU tonight

Ben's style of offense is brutal to watch when the shots are not dropping. We are short and not physical. Those are my take aways.

    More Nebbie Dysfunction

The only reason to leave ISU for PSU is money. While ISU is doing well for a Big 12 school, it does not have the resources of a blue blood in the Big 10. PSU could offer him Kiffin money and that would be hard to turn down. But, I would need 6 years nearly all guaranteed. He could coach at...

    Lane Kiffin fiasco

Any proposal that excludes Independents is fine with me. F Notre Dame and there weak ass scheduling. Join a conference or get out.

    More Nebbie Dysfunction

Terry Smith is not the answer at PSU. Its an ok feel good story, but he is not an impressive coach, a bit on the older side, and was a high school coach not all that long ago. If PSU cannot find someone better than that, they are not trying. That said, the new coach should absolutely keep him...

    Lane Kiffin fiasco

No way. You are giving the Little 12 and the ACC equal access to the playoffs? That would get laughed out of the room if proposed. Hell, even the ACC commissioner would chuckle at that suggestion. Honestly, I'd like to see the Big 10 and SEC go to 20 teams each. Each conference has a 6 team...
