They also lost to Minnesota earlier in the week. Not a good week for Indiana basketball. Good thing football is taking away al the focus there.

    Clones

Iowa State basketball is sitting at the top of the world this morning. They have a very good team, obviously. Iowa can't catch up in a day. Beth Goetz did the right thing by hiring Ben McCollum. It's going to take some time to build. And if you read cyclonefanatic some think TJ Otzenberger...

    "Nebraska is Dead" Video

I think that goes all all the way back to the 70s. Back when they really did have an elite defense. Maybe the 60s. In the early 70s they were loaded on the D Line and they won two national championships. To get the Blackshirt back then was a badge of honor. But alas, we're not in the 70s...

    PSU and ISU schadenfreude

He jumped from SDSU to WSU after two years and from WSU to Iowa State in one year. If I were a Cyclone fan I'd be worried about another job hop if he has any success at all.

    My kid just fired up...

I am very sorry for your loss. Always painful to lose a parent.

Sounds as if they are dotting the i's and crossing the t's.

Georgia Suing Former Player Over NIL Deal and Transfer

He signed for $390,000 but only collected $30,000 before transferring. They are trying to claw back the entire $390,000. I'm no lawyer but that doesn't sound like it would happen.

I don't disagree he won't be better than Franklin. But he is so much better than I thought they'd get.

What a lucky break for Penn State, one they really didn't deserve. But it's like Hayden Fry used to say, even a blind squirrel finds an acorn once in a while.

    More Nebbie Dysfunction

Cristobal was born and raised in South Florida and graduated from Miami. And as you stated, he got the Brinks truck backed up for him. So that was probably a no brainer.

    More Nebbie Dysfunction

And his brother is a starting DB for the Huskers. It seems that this kid has the higher ceiling though. Life long Hawkeye fan.

Fry's Forecast Fizzled: KF Confirms He Will Be Back in '26.

Fitz said that he talked to 8 schools and chose Michigan State. I have no idea who those schools were and the "quality" of those offers but it sounds like he did have some options. Could be he chose to stay in the B1G where he has familiarity.

    I Cannot Believe............

Had a friend who is very successful tell me one time, "You're only as happy as your saddest kid." And that is very true.

I'm not that concerned with the O-Line next year. You have Lauck and Pieper returning. Both were very solid and have All B1G potential next year. You have Dotzler who will probably fill in for Dunker at right tackle next year; he backed up Lauck and is said to be pretty solid. Leighton Jones...

"IF" this is indeed Kirk's swan song, who do you want?

Patricia was a good DC at New England. That's how he got the HC job in Detroit. He's just one of those guys who is a great coordinator but not a good HC. Kind of like Josh McDaniels.

    Chris Klieman

Kansas State had a disappointing year that had high hopes before the season. Klieman broke down a litt bit after their final game defending the program and his players. Sounds to me as if he just had had enough. I can't blame him. Every fan base has unrealistic expectations and Kansas State...

    KF Starting QBs

If we end up 10-2, we would be in the playoffs, IMO. The committee gave us quite a bit of respect until we ended up with two consecutive losses and we dropped out of their Top 25. Even now, we are ranked #24 and the only team in the Top 25 with four losses. In your scenario our losses would...

Records for the Fry-Ferentz Era at Iowa

On the Legends and Listeners podcast last week, Scott Dochterman said that he is hearing that they are proposing to jump straight to 24 teams. Not sure who is doing that but probably Pettitti. I think that is too many. I think 12 is enough. This isn't like college BB where 10-15 teams...

    More Nebbie Dysfunction

Their latest target was BYU head coach Kalani Sitake and he just signed a long term extension after their interest. That's happened to them 2-3 times now. They are losing the game of musical chairs and as kameltoez said, they may have to go with Terry Smith.

    More Nebbie Dysfunction

Wisconsin was much improved the last half of the season. Their defense was pretty good although they still have a long way to go on offense and it remains to be seen if Fickell can figure that out. Their rock bottom was probably the Iowa game. IMO they made the right call by holding on to him...
