The Rutgers big guy was demoralized by his inability to stop Garza, not by Garza hamming it up for the crowd and the opposing bench. I would prefer letting the quality of his play do the talking. It sure does have a lot to say.
I have a funny story about my recruitment. One of the schools that was after me was Army. There is no way I was going to west point. I had to tell coach K to quit calling me every day, I am not interested. I may have been the last recruit to tell him no.
Before the start of this season, I had been hoping for an all big 10 type season out of Nunge. All I was saying was that he was not off to that kind of start. It is no certainty for me now that he will be better than Kreiner next season.
I think most fans place far too much importance on the actions of the fans in the arena. Yes, they can pump up the team a bit, but I dont think they very often affect the outcome of even a close game.
As I have said before, there is not likely to be any more hype around Garza next year than there is right now. You have to strike while the iron is hot, so if he projects as a first rounder, he would be foolish to come back.
