What do you want to hear McCaffery say tomorrow?

Nothing...30 mins before the PC he decides to return to Siena.

Like him or not McCaffrey's our coach...

We don't need interesting...we need talent and wins.

    What will his salary be?

I hope the buyout is minimal...easier to unload in 2 years.

    Associated Head Coach Forbes

Forbes will not be a part of this staff...as of this morning anyway . anything can happen. I really do doubt it though. I hope he gets an interveiw at Depaul. I'm not sure he would take it if offered. I was told that he plans on staying where he is..again as of this morning

    If it's McCaffery, welcome aboard

I will be shocked if Forbes is on this staff...He was intersested in running the program. As of this morning he was staying put. He will stay until the right HC postion is offered. Otherwise he will continue to make good coin at a top school doing what he is very good at.

    the nail in bartas coffin.

Some people people will agree with this hire, some won't and some will reserve judgement. I for one will reserve judgement. If he can bring in enough talent too make the dance every other year we will be ok..if not oh well

    I Support This Hire....

I support the iowa hawkeyes and Fran is/will be our new coach. I hope he can bring us back to a resonable stature among our big ten peers. Can't be much worse.

    the nail in bartas coffin.

You know we will quickly because of his recruiting prowess or all those wins in ...what conference again? None of us know what the next couple of years will bring. I will be shocked if it is actual B10 confernce winning talent though.

    What a let down

    Some 411 on Fran McCaffery

None....I actually think that he will stay put this year and be hard after a GOOD gig next year this time. I really hate to say this...but remember you heard it here first if Mcdermott has another bad year you know Pollard would make a run at Forbes. I know ISU does not = Good gig...but ya never...

As it turned out, I wonder if money...

As it turns out Barta was cornered by his "experienced HC " comment. I will always Believe that Forbes was best fit for the job. In some ways I hope he proves Barta wrong somewhere else or that this dosen't work out and he gets his chance in 2-3 years.

    Boston Globe Reports Sunday 3/28/10

I'm really sorry to say this, but...ugh...there is a real possibilty that he is it. I heard this morning that Forbes is staying put and they are in serious negotiations with a coach from the east coast.

Iowa does not want Forbes, the 2nd.asst.

Nobody has said he turned down big jobs....Did you even know of him before?. People in the college basketball world did...and respect him. He has a good record everywhere he has been and missed after he left.. Whether he gets the job or not he will be a HC sooner or later. He turned down...

asking noodle will prove what about pay at TN....no way any of us KNOW what Forbe or Jones are exactly paid. I know it is relatively close.

Iowa does not want Forbes, the 2nd.asst.

He has never went after a job like he has this one....he has taken calls on jobs but never went as far to talk a contract. Hi star has been on the rise since A&M. He gets calls every year about mid major and laterall moves.

Don't understand the love affair with Forbes
