    Ferentz dean of B1G coaches

Counting interim coaches, by my math there have been 34 coaching changes in the Big Ten since Kirk was hired.

IOWA-Wisky poured down the drain game thread.

Wisconsin has a tough defense, the winds were howling, and our only experienced deep threat receiver was out. That was a top-quality road win against a ranked team. Quit your f**king b**ching and enjoy the win.

    Jake Rudock

Rudock is not an Iowa kid. He was a two-year starter. He was eligible for the graduate transfer. Pretty much any kid in his shoes would have made the same decision. And now he's starting at Michigan, so clearly he made the best choice for himself. Call it quitting if you want, I call it...

Imagine CJ with this extra weapon: Gazette article

Maybe. But much more importantly, Willies was a "stomp his feet, whiny crybaby, take his ball and go home" kinda guy. I don't miss him one bit. Maybe part of the reason things have started off so well this year is because the team hasn't had any of these personnel distractions that have the...

Iowa vs N. Texas prediction thread

North Texas is totally overmatched on both sides of the ball. The Mean Green were beaten handily by two below-average teams. Iowa will move the ball at will and will be looking to get sharp before going to Wisconsin. North Texas will be held to under 100 yards of offense before Iowa's D...

    Hat's off to David Johnson

I do. I'm a lifelong Hawkeye fan who also happens to be a Panther alum, like several of the people here. David Johnson is an Iowa kid who was recruited by Iowa, so there is bound to be some interest. If you don't approve, feel free to not enter threads that you can clearly see aren't...

David Johnson tearing it up for AZ Cardinals

    Dear Kirk

Can Kirk do better at clock management? Absolutely. We all know this. But sometimes you do everything right and still lose. Sometimes you do everything wrong and win anyway. The 2005 CapOneBowl is the best example of this. That was a MUCH WORSE comedy of errors that inadvertently fooled LSU...

    Ranked?

The polls mean nothing yet, so who cares? 3-0 means a lot more than receiving votes for the top 25.

Dear Huskers - you guys are awesome

To see Nebraska lost TWO games in completely heartbreaking fashion just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Oh wait, that's the IPA. Carry on.

    IOWA WINS-Pitt loses game thread.

That was the best game ending since Daniel Murray beat Penn State with a FG in 2009.

...and Iowa State just missed a 32 yarder that would have beaten Toledo. OT.

    IOWA WINS-Pitt loses game thread.

I'm surprised they didn't review Vandeberg's catch, because it looked to me like he reached the ball out over the plane before being tackled inside the 1. But we scored and were able to milk the clock a bit more. So no harm done.
