One game one announcer..who would it be..

Dick Enberg did college football and was NBC's Rose Bowl guy for a long time. He was really, really good. I'd put him in the top 3, just below Keith Jackson. Enberg was incredibly versatile and has announced many different sports.

One game one announcer..who would it be..

Out of anyone who has ever worked the booth, I'd take Keith Jackson with Kirk Herbstreit.

    Reverse play

There's nothing wrong with the play at all. I'd just rather someone without a tendency to make dumb mistakes run the ball.

    Reverse play

JP would run backwards and get tackled for a 25 yard loss on the play.

    Iowa - Quarterback U

If you were a two year starter from out of state and lost your job, AND had the opportunity to transfer to an historic program and play without sitting out a year...you'd have made the same decision. And so would just about any other QB in that situation. It sucks not to have an experienced...

    Running Game Thoughts

There's no question Canzeri has the speed/vision/moves to be an effective RB. It's his durability that's in question. I'm not sure he can handle 20 carries a game through a Big Ten season without getting nicked up. I'd switch Daniels and Canzeri out situationally to take advantage of their...

TIME TO GIVE SOME OF THIS NEGATIVITY A REST

Parker has proven time and time again that he should be nowhere near the ball during any part of the game while the outcome is still in doubt. Stick him in there during a blowout and see if he can't figure out a way to cure his tendency to make boneheaded mistakes. But largely, I've been very...

Willies Tearing It Up at JUCO: Ferentz's Biggest Mistake To Date?

This whole argument is just stupid. Willies was a crybaby who quit on his team, and then didn't like Kirk's conditions for returning, and quit again. Freshmen who show potential, and put in ALL the work; are good teammates, citizens, and students; who work hard, know the playbook, and have a...

Why does ESPN/ABC/Disney want Cornholers to be good?

The ending to that game was truly glorious.

INSTANT REAX PODCAST: Iowa Dominates ILL ST

Yep. Wadley has nice moves, but his fumbling is a huge problem. Daniels looked good and Canzeri complemented him nicely. At this point, Wadley is a garbage time RB only.

    Brandon Wegher Makes Panthers Roster

Wegher wasn't mature enough to succeed in college and as an athlete until he was about 22. Good for him that he eventually figured it out, though. Most kids in that position don't.

    Another one bites the dust...

Oh noes - more attrition! I seriously have no problem when guys I've either never heard of, or had forgotten about, leave the team. Those guys can go get playing time at FCS schools, and we can free up those scholarships to bring in more new guys.

University of Maryland hopes to 'enhance the fan experience' by selling alcohol

Alcohol sales would generate revenue, but this idea also has some costs. Security has to be increased, both from patrolling the crowd to checking IDs at the point of sale. Plus the waiting lines for the concessions and the bathrooms are already terrible - and would get a lot worse. I'm not...

    Hey look....Willies to Texas Tech

...kinda like how it came back to haunt kfootball when James Cleveland transferred to Houston and lit it up in their passing offense?

Schwartz article on Season ticket drop

I wouldn't compare season ticket sales to what Iowa State sells. General Admission, no donation required, season tickets for Cyclone games start at $175. Hawkeye season tickets start at $395.

    It's the Running Backs Stupid

....really? I love how you twist reality to fit your biased opinions. Wadley's "strong" performances were mostly in garbage time of two blowout games. In the final three games of the year, he had a combined 9 carries for 12 yards. And he put the ball on the ground multiple times. Yes, I think...

    Wegher

Wegher got plenty of playing time as a true frosh. His leaving was due to personal issues that had nothing to do with the football program or his role within it. Oklahoma wasn't able to "keep" Wegher either. Do you blame Bob Stoops for that? Hampton suffered ACL tears in back to back seasons...
