    Colin Coward: How Long Before..............

The strength of schedule isn't an issue. There's nothing for him to rage about.

Tyler Sash Mom speaks about his struggles

It's only a matter of time before some sort of test is created that will allow CTE to be diagnosed, imaged, and monitored in the brains of living players. Once this happens, players will exit the sport in droves and lawsuits will bankrupt the game at every level. Calls to make the game...

Only a 6 point loss on the road to a top 10 team

Winning on the road is tough. Iowa played extremely poorly and still almost beat a top 10 team in a tough place to win. Sure I'd have loved to steal the win, but this team showed no quit and hung tough against a team with some really good players. I'm not worried going foward.

    A ridiculously CRAZY question.

The '13-'14 Hawk squad was ranked #10 in January and plunged all the way down to the play-in game after losing 6 of their final 7 games. I'm not sure any team would make the dance if they lost their final 10 games in a row.

...except the decisive issue in football isn't all about concussions. CTE has been found in the brains of deceased players who had no history of concussions. CTE has been linked to the types of sub-concussive hits you'll find on just about every single play in the game. There is no way to...

How does Iowa get Baer a Scholarship?

Coaches are allowed to pay for their kids to go to school and free up the scholly if they want to. Doug McDermott actually gave up his scholly for Grant Gibbs a few years ago because his dad could pay his way at Creighton. But generally this isn't done because the kids earn the scholarships...

    PAC 12=Classless

The Stanford band has been known for just this sort of thing for decades. They get suspended on the reg for doing stuff just like this. I wasn't shocked by it.

    Schlabach's predictions for bowls

Kanell was one of the voices of reason supporting Iowa all season. He must really believe Stanford is something special to pick the game that way.

    Jersey's

This site is either: a) a scam like the others have mentioned. or b) a knock-off site selling illegal, non-licensed merchandise. Either way, it's bad news. Stay away.

Fran McCaffrey deserves to be fired

He's light years better than our previous two coaches. Yes, we should have won. Yes, that sucked. But step back from the ledge.

Brent Musburger & Jesse Palmer calling the Rose Bowl

Jesse Palmer is certainly no Keith Jackson, but I chuckle when I see people act as if we've just been given Pam Ward and Beth Mowins.

Here we go again...the bowl system is a mess

The important bowl games don't suddenly mean less because 5-7 Southwest Blowhard State played in a new game on December 14th that only 76 people watch on Fox Sports West 3. This isn't at college football's expense. These games aren't a mockery, because other than the teams who get invited to...

Official Bowl Selection (Fix was In) Thread

The committee doesn't care about who is in the final. They care more about keeping Oklahoma from playing a semi-final close to home in Dallas. It wouldn't have worked anyway. Sparty is going to crush Alabama the same way Ohio State did last year and the way Iowa would have had we won last night.

Put this crap to bed; disparity in Nebby plays and yardage vs Iowa

Is it possible to be outplayed in a game in which you never trailed? Iowa got outgained because we had a defensive score and played field position in the windy conditions. At no time was the outcome of that game in doubt. But we weren't anything close to being outplayed.

Anybody watching this College football playoff show on Fox now?

It's a good thing they don't get to choose, isn't it? I couldn't care less what anyone's opinion is except for the CFP committee. And that only matters if we win next week.

    Elimination Day

I'd be fine with that. If we think we have a chance to win the title, we have to believe we can beat anyone.

    Elimination Day

Things are falling into place. Notre Dame, Baylor, Florida, Michigan, Oklahoma State all lost and are out. So there are basically 8 teams left competing for the 4 playoff spots. Oklahoma finished strong and is almost certainly in. Iowa/MSU winner will be in. Alabama will be in if they beat...
