    The sad part is we will never know how he would have performed. To me, Kirk’s consistent aversion to giving backup QB’s some playing time (no matter how terrible the starter performs) is his biggest weakness. It has cost us more wins than prevented losses.

    It’s a game of inches

    In past Iowa upsets, our DB's made the game-saving plays at the end to win it - an interception or knock down on key passes in the final minutes / seconds. This year our DB's are getting beat on those plays.
